On 28th November, the Soundswell team came together at our much-loved meeting venue, Moor Pool Hall. These training days are always a valuable chance for our speech and language therapists to meet in person, share updates, and reconnect.
As ever, we were treated to a fantastic lunch from Verity Cummins at Flavoured Fork, which kept everyone fuelled for a full and engaging day.

Alongside key company updates, Bryony and Denise delivered an insightful session on Artificial Intelligence, timed to coincide with the launch of Soundswell’s new AI Guidelines document. Their presentation generated plenty of discussion about the growing role of AI in the work of speech and language therapists.
A real highlight of the day was the guest presentation from Helen Georgiou, Quality and Improvement Officer with Birmingham’s special needs team. We had invited Helen to update the Soundswell team on recent changes to EHCP paperwork, and she provided not only a thorough overview but also invaluable context.
Helen guided us through the journey SENAR has taken in recent years, outlining the improvements that will ultimately support the children and families they work with. Her extensive SEND experience, clear explanations, and engaging delivery meant the whole team came away better informed about processes, key contacts, and how to secure timely support for the children on our caseloads.

We are extremely grateful for Helen’s time and expertise and look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
