Planning your Speech and Language Therapy requirements for the next academic year?
speech and language therapist supporting school children

Are you considering commissioning speech and language therapy for the coming academic year? Why not become a ‘Soundswell school’?

Now Is the Time to Start Planning

If you don’t yet have a provider, or are thinking about making a change, now is the perfect time to begin exploring your options.

At Soundswell, we stay closely connected with our partner schools throughout the year. We review contracts annually and meet with settings during the Spring term to discuss how things are going and to find out commissioning intentions for the coming academic year.

Why Start So Early?

Although it may feel early, the halfway point in the academic year is exactly when planning should begin.

Securing funding can take time, and schools need to start their next year’s planning in, or before the summer term. Having a clear plan in place ensures that support is ready to go when the Autumn term begins.

Our Soundswell Impact Reports play an important role in this process, helping to support the case for continued funding and contribute to both the annual report to Governors and the school development plan.

Continuity Matters

We know that schools value consistency. Building a strong relationship with a therapist who understands your setting, your staff, and your pupils makes a real difference.

Schools are always keen to retain the therapist they have got to know and who fits in well with their team-knowing how things work in that setting.  Therapists deserve plenty of notice about their workstreams for the following September, and for these reasons….

It’s never too early to set the wheels in motion
