Diana McQueen
Soundswell Director
Diana McQueen, alongside Jo Gregory, co-founded Soundswell in 2012.
Role & Expertise
Diana’s role within Soundswell is to ensure robust Governance. She is fully committed to providing the best possible service to schools and settings, supporting staff and improving life-chances for children and young people.
Diana lives in Staffordshire.
Interests & Specialisms
Diana is particularly interested in Early Years and is a strong advocate for the enormous impact Early Years Practitioners can make for every child.
She is particularly committed to the idea of prevention – a role she feels therapists are uniquely placed to lead, yet one that is often overlooked in favour of “fixing things that have already gone wrong.”
Diana champions the importance of supporting Early Years settings to create rich, communication-friendly environments from the very start, giving children the best possible opportunity to thrive.
Diana was the driving force behind the development of the WellComm Early Years Toolkit. She has presented at both national and international conferences and is the author of several respected publications in the field.
Whilst no longer a practicing therapist, Diana continues to advocate widely for the profession and for the people it serves.
