About Abi

Based in Solihull, Abi works in primary school-aged mainstream settings across Birmingham and Coventry.

Interests & Specialisms

Abi qualified in 2004, and worked in the NHS for 16 years before moving into Independent Practise. 

Abi has a particular focus on working with children who have speech sound disorders, including Cleft Lip and Palate, Articulation Disorders, Phonological Delay and Disorders, Dyspraxia and Hearing Impairment.  

 She has experience identifying and diagnosing children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and is passionate about raising awareness of this in her school settings. She is particularly interested in working to develop the self-advocacy of children with communication difficulties. 

Abi enjoys working alongside teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting pupils with SLCN.
