This practical resource aims to develop and enhance children’s attention and listening skills via a 26 day intervention programme.
Attention and listening are core skills – they are learnt skills which are crucial for any kind of learning. Some children haven’t had the chance to develop these critical skills and until they do, a significant proportion of what teachers say will simply pass them by. The impact on learning is obvious.
SALI actively teaches children what they need to know.
Two substantial booklets are included as part of the course:
- Handbook: theoretical background, details the contents of the resource & how to use it
- Intervention plans: 26 sessions, activities and required resources.
Additional resources for delivering the programme can be accessed below.
Participants will learn about the importance of core skills in general, be able to assess attention levels, understand what makes a successful group and practise some of the activities.
