About Kathryn

Kathryn lives in South Birmingham and works in mainstream nurseries and schools across Birmingham, working with children from 2 to 11years old.  

Interests & Specialisms

Kathryn qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1998. She worked in the NHS in Preston, and then Dudley, for many years before moving into Independent Practice.  

She loves to work with children with a wide variety of SLCN including speech sound disorders, developmental language disorder (DLD) and complex needs – both directly, and by supporting the child’s family and teaching staff.  

Kathryn’s days are always varied. From providing direct assessment and therapy sessions, through to offering parent workshops: modelling strategies in a Specialist Hub to support children with Autism, or training teaching staff to use the Wellcomm Screening Toolkit.
